..svnbridge Folders

Hi ppl,

When I perform a check out with svnbridge and edit something then check in, svnbridge adds ..svnbridge folders to my check in. Is this normal? and if so what is the purpose of it?

Regards,
Joel

That is where SvnBridge stores the properties for the files.
That is an implementation detail, and it is filtered by SvnBridge as long as you are working with it.

Does that mean developers not using SvnBridge would also get the ..svnbridge folders when they perform a GetLatestVersion with the normal TFS client? Since that is what's happening now.

Yes, they would.

May be all an implementation details keep in one file in the project root? Then they will not be mixed to source code folders. Also they will not be confused to merge of branches by Teem Explorer.

We have considered this, but there are several technical issues with changing the way we work.
First and foremost, it would make it expensive to find the properties of an item (you would have to download all the properties of all the items in order to make a change).
It also make it necessary to give permission on the root for someone that wants to make a change in a subfolder.
