The Linux svn client seems to ignore this, but TortoiseSVN has an assertion for it (with a comment about codeplex) and fails to rename:

I have installed the svnbridge on my TFS Server with Port 8081.
I have created an empty TFS Repository "svn" in the Collection "LITTSM".
In Tortoise i put in following url with checkout -> http:/...

If you checkout a repo to a local workspace
then add a conflicting file locally which is not yet downloaded.. or manually delete a file which is about to be deleted on the next update..

SVN is case sensitve.
Rename a file from upper case to lower case.. checkin
checkout the changeset before, then update to the one after.
svn update will fail saying

Checkout a repository
perform a merge operation on a file under that path
check in the change from TFS explorer
perform a SVN UPDATE
this will fail saying unknown operation MERGE
