SvnBridge - Use TortoiseSVN with Team Foundation Server

According to the solution of the issue https://svnbridge.codeplex.com/workitem/12861, I need to download the latest version of source code and install the patch 8517, then build the SvnBridgeServer.

I download the latest SVN Bridge Server package, the size of SvnBridgeServer.dll file is 540KB.
I download the latest version of source code, use Visual Studio 2010 to build the source code. The output shows build successfully. But the size of SvnBridgeServer.dll file is 7.5KB. (I haven't installed the patch yet.)

I don't know what causes this kind of problem. Could you please give me some advices or provide me the package with patch 8517 installed?

I have been using SVNBridge and think it is a fantastic product. However, I noticed my system was becoming slugish when using it and noticed it was using nearly 700MB of memory, looks like a memory leak me to.

I am using a version of SVnBridge dated 23/04/2008
And tortoiseSVN 1.5.2
I right-click a file in explorer, select TortoiseSVn|Show Log
I select the last two versions, right-click, compare revisions
I get an error "Checksum mismatch for '' "

Spaces in a path cause the an error:

Malformed network data
svn: Unable to parse URL '/!svn/bc/40126/Quick Starts'"

I was browsing "https://entlib.svn.codeplex.com/svn/Quick Starts" when I received the error.
I have replicated the issue using SVN.exe, TortoiseSVN and Subclipse.

We have the following reproducible error message when performing "Diff with previous version" using TortoiseSVN with the SvnBridge on the CodePlex servers:

Checksum mismatch for '':
expected checksum: 8b1120032e89e9ef8622481502fcfad5
actual checksum: 53d3d5bada7ed4567c47cc4c6df4d6bd

We get this error message when creating a diff between any revisions of this file.

No need to.

Simply set ( ~/.subversion/servers ):
neon-debug-mask = 511

and that will provide copious logging (when running Neon-based command-line subversion).

I'm not sure about the specific error message but if I'm not completely mistaken I once had the same error, and it was something slightly different but ending up with a "doh!".

You could revisit your SvnBridge .config files, possibly the problem is caused by an insufficiently correct entry there.

Of course most likely you get that error because SvnBridge had an implementation exception which it then tries to log and that then fails.

Or simply build a lava-fixed (you cannot even call it hotfixed...) SvnBridge version and quite likely watch that particular error issue causing a log file error issue to go poof (but that still won't save you from yet another log file error when having another error).

Or run desktop SvnBridge and do a debugger session on it to determine error causes.

We have a corporate SVNBridge server that we are using with the Jenkins CI server and Maven projects. When we do a Maven Release, one of the commands does an 'svn copy' to create the "tags" branch in TFS.

From a Windows Server running SlikSVN 1.6.9 it works. Running on Linux (Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS or Ubuntu 12.10) running subversion 1.6.6, 1.6.12, 1.6.17 or 1.7.x, I get a HTTP/1.1 401 unauthorized.

When I took a capture using tcpdump and analyzed the trace, I am seeing this returned:

   Access to the path 'D:\Logs\SVNBridge\Error-1b1923a3-6b94-4e61-be16-5af0c0dc2465.log' is denied.

The sysadmins say they have the correct permissions on the Logs folder. What else can I look at?

I tried modifying my settings the way JasonMcF described above, and I found that I was still getting errors. After doing an update to a Work Item (Bug) manually using Visual Studio and tracing the request/response using Fiddler, I realized that I needed additional columns in the XML. Once I added these columns in the XML to match the request I trapped using Fiddler, the next commit using Tortoise --> SVNBridge --> TFS closed the Bug without error. However, I then discovered that the required columns are different for different types of Work Items. I was able to configure the SVNBridge XML files to work smoothly when resolving Bugs, but the settings did not work when trying to edit Tasks. After downloading the SVNBridge code and looking through it, I believe the TfsWorkItemModifier class would need to be modified to allow for different XML configurations for different Work Items. The code in that class looks pretty straight-forward, so I might take a stab at modifying it to support this User Story sometime in the future. However, it's easy enough to manually close tickets and associate them with changes using Team Explorer, Visual Studio Source Explorer, etc., and the feature I was REALLY after was simply connecting TortoiseSVN to TFS, which works just fine. I'll put this on my "Friday afternoon" work list... ;-)

TortoiseSvn versions tried: 1.7.0, 1.7.11
TFS version: 2010 (10.0.40219.339, SP1)
IIS version: 7.5.7600.16385
OS version: Windows Server 2008 R2, SP1, 64-bit

SvnBridge installed on the same server as TFS and exactly according to instructions.

UPDATE:
It appears I can check out individual files but not entire folders.

In trying to use svnsync to setup a read-only mirror of a SvnBridge exposed TFS repository, I am getting the error, 'Storage of non-regular property svn:wc:ra_dav:version-url is disallowed through the repository interface, and could indicate a bug in your client.' Is there any way to work around this?

Comments: One the of the reasons this is an issue, is because Codeplex doesn't allow forking to an alternate DVCS from project that use SVN, so a developer has to mirror the SVN site, then run a "Import" from SVN to GIT/HG repo. Then from that alternate DVCS we can generate SVN patches to submit back to Codeplex hosted project. It's a royal PITA. I can understand why this might drive open-source projects to alternate hosting platforms like Bitbucket, GitHub as the fork/branch and patch/pull/change request model is a fantastic user experience.

All I can say is that with the development work submitted that's been perfectly ignored by this project I've never experienced such commit issues AFAIR. Perhaps I've just been lucky, but...
I will have a look at the details of the backtrace soonish, though.
In the meantime, real, actual software professionals might want to reconsider their decision of making use of any of the many relatively non-robust (and in addition often not approachable due to closed source, and/or with insufficient interface docs, or service!) products of a certain entity that's been stabbing software industry for decades and now even ends up unbeliebably whiiny when things suddenly turn against them: http://mobile.slashdot.org/story/13/01/03/0358238/microsoft-says-google-trying-to-undermine-windows-phone (also, this important-functionality bug will celebrate 3rd biirthday soon)

Comments: To reiterate what platstar said, make sure all paths match what is on the server (case sensitive). In my case, I was referencing the svn repository using a lowercase path instead of camel case.
