Where do the ..svnbridge folders come from?

Hi,

I'm using SvnBridge via the codeplex url and AnkhSvn as a client. Recently I've noticed several "..svnbridge" folders inside the TFS repository and was wondering where they came from? I cannot remember them while using TortoiseSvn, but I'm not sure.

Are they necessary? If not, can I delete them? Or even better avoid them?

Thank you very much in advance,
Andy

Subversion supports storing custom metadata related to folders and files (it calls them "properties), for example, the ignore list for a folder.  TFS doesn't have a function for storing custom metadata/properties for a folder or file, so instead we add ..svnbridge folders and store the information in there.  So if you remove them, you'll lose things like your ignore lists.
