Unable to get server to work

Apr 7, 2010 at 8:24 PM

I followed the instructions on the front page for setting up the SvnBridge server locally, but I'm having trouble getting it to work.

  • I created the website in IIS
  • I made sure that only ASP.NET Impersonation and Digest Authentication were enabled
  • The website is running on port 8081
  • I edited the TfsUrl setting in the web.config file

Using TortoiseSvn, I tried to checkout http://localhost:8081/MyProject.  It prompts me to log in over and over with a prompt that says, "<http://localhost:8081> Digest" and it never lets me in.

I'm on Windows 7, IIS 7.5, using Active Directory.

I turned on anonymous authentication only and browsed to http://localhost:8080/server_address/projectname, and that worked.  I guess you need the server running on port 8081, but you connect to the client over 8080?

I have no "Digest Authentication" accesible, there is only

  • Anonymous Auth.
  • ASP.NET Impers.
  • Forms Auth.
  • Windows Auth.

What is wrong?

Solution of this problem is here: http://www.iis.net/ConfigReference/system.webServer/security/authentication/digestAuthentication
