SvnBridge cannot commit (crashes every time)

I've just tried 8 times to commit a change of 30 files and SvnBridge crashes every time. I'll have to give up for the moment.

I get this in Tortoise
Error: Commit failed...
COPY of CABDevExpress.ExtensionKit/XtraApplication/XtraFormApplication.cs : could not read status line: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote hose (http://localhost:8081)

And from SvnBridge:
An unhandled exception of type 'CodePlex.TfsLibrary.TfsFailureException' occurred in SvnBridge.exe
Additional information: The following errors occurred:
The item $/CABDevExpress/CABDevExpress.ExtensionKit/XtraApplication/XtraFormApplication.cs already exists.

XtraApplication is a renamed directory but the XtraFormApplication is an existing file that has always been in that directory. Does SvnBridge not cater for this?

SvnBridge should support this fine. I'm trying to reproduce the problem but I'm not having any trouble renaming folders containing files. Can you give me more details about your changes to see if I can find a repro?

For what its worth, I think I had the same problem you are experiencing (same crashes and same error) and I just discovered my error:

When first I checked out sources, my TFS sever was listed as https://tfs06.codeplex.com. The SVN sever location was http://localhost:8081/projectName. The problem I had was on the second usage of the bridge. I incorrectly listed the TFS server as https://tfs06.codeplex.com/projectName.

Hi jwaganel,

Here's a screenshot of the commit I'm attempting, if this helps...

As you can see, I'm changing the folder name and also modifying the files within that folder in the same commit. It doesn't get past the first file in that folder that I'm renaming.
ie it gets to Adding... XtraFormApplication... and crashes - every time.

I thought I'd worked around this problem, when I deleted the folder I renamed and pulled the 2 problem files outside of it. It almost commits... gets a lot further... but still crashes on another problem:

An unhandled exception of type 'CodePlex.TfsLibrary.TfsFailureException' occurred in SvnBridge.exe

Additional information: The following errors occurred:
TF14050: Cannot change item $/CABDevExpress/CABDevExpress.ExtensionKit/readme.txt because it already has a pending change that is not compatible.

That it takes around 1 minute, per file, to commit, really tests the patience! ;-)

Right, I worked around this issue. I didn't commit the file it was complaining about and it finally committed successfully (I think it took about 10 minutes - certainly gives new meaning to the Tortoise icon, in the top-right corner)

But just for the icing on the cake, it made 2 commits both at exactly 7:48 PM today, change set 14754 and 14755.
No doubt they're identical - well I hope they are, I only made one change set!

So, maybe that's 3 issues I need to report.
